About
I am a native Rhode Islander, living in the Green Country of eastern Oklahoma with my husband, a retired Navy commander turned pro golfer. I’ve traveled extensively throughout the United States while raising four sons. Chet and I now enjoy our eleven grandchildren. After working as an NSA intelligence analyst and a children’s librarian, I established a career as a fiction writer. Over the years, I’ve published many short stories, both romance and fantasy. Several of them have recently been been collected in an anthology, Other Worlds. My young adult novel, COURT OF HONOR, won the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart Award and is now available as an ebook. EARTH MAGIC, the first in a young adult fantasy trilogy, was the Oklahoma Writers Federation’s Best Juvenile Book of 2002. I have also written two children’s picture books and a paranormal romance novel, Dreamtime.

Sixteen-year-old Becky Walden has two big dreams: to become an all-state basketball player and to find a special boy to love. When she moves from St. Louis to a small town in southwestern Missouri, she meets Matt McRae. He shares her love of basketball and he comes to love her, but he is unwilling to fight the system of small town politics that has reached into the high school and tainted their sport. Becky learns that love doesn't always mean happiness; sometimes it can really hurt.

Very nice, Paula. Regards, Dave
Thanks, Dave. This is definitely an ongoing project, one I have to learn to manage myself, which should be interesting.
